Altmühltal cycle path LK Kelheim

The classic among the most popular cycle routes in Germany. The cycle path leads through the unique landscape of the Altmühltal Nature Park, mostly on its own fine gravel paths, along the leisurely flowing Altmühl from the Altmühl lakes near Gunzenhausen via Treuchtlingen, Eichstätt, Kipfenberg, Beilngries to Dietfurt. From here, you cycle along the Main-Danube Canal past Riedenburg and Essing to Kelheim on well-maintained service roads.
