Monastery tour

The tour starts comfortably from Bad Gögging in the direction of Eining to Weltenburg. There, the magnificent monastery church, designed by the Asam brothers, and the oldest monastery brewery in the world await you in the Benedictine abbey of Weltenburg. In the Klosterschenke Weltenburg, you should not miss out on enjoying the dark monastery beer. Located directly on the Danube Gorge, the Danube forms a river landscape of bizarre beauty, which you can explore on foot or by boat. On the way back from Weltenburg to Bad Gögging, two somewhat long climbs await you via Holzharlanden and Sandharlanden, the region's asparagus stronghold. The rest of the journey home is mostly flat.
