An exciting tour through 200,000 years of history in the Kelheim region
The Kelheim Archaeological Museum presents one of the largest archaeological collections in southern Germany. It invites you on a journey of discovery through the 200,000-year history of the town and district of Kelheim.
The museum is located in the medieval Herzogkasten, a granary for the duke's levies, in the heart of Kelheim's old town. It makes its contents accessible through a variety of educational offers: from those interested in culture to families - with innovative media or personally in guided tours, with changing special exhibitions and other events. Birthdays and weddings can also be celebrated in the museum!
