Beer garden tour

The route from Saal to Ratzenhofen and back is almost identical. The destination is the beer garden in Ratzenhofen. You can cycle comfortably or at a brisk pace, mostly on paved side roads. First you follow the cycle path to Abensberg, which runs rather unspectacularly alongside the B16 main road. After passing through the town of Abensberg, follow the Abensradwanderweg to Ratzenhofen. The route takes you past hop gardens, cornfields and small villages - beautifully idyllic. Once we arrive at the castle garden, we treat ourselves to a snack and something to drink. The route then leads to Abensberg along the same route. From Abensberg you cycle through a forest and past a tree nursery back to Saal.

This tour can also be started from Abensberg. Then it is 45.78 km and about 100 meters uphill. The starting point here would be the cycle station in Münchner Straße, at the Gillamooswiese.
