Franciscan Church

Originally built as a Franciscan monastery church from 1461 to 1471, presumably from the remains of the former ducal Meierhof. The monastery was dissolved as a result of secularization in 1803, the late Gothic church was deconsecrated and the furnishings were sold at public auction. A fresco on the inside of the chancel arch depicting the Last Judgement, which was uncovered during renovation work in 1953, is dated 1490. The church was redesigned and repainted in the Baroque period. Parts of this painting - the pictures of the apostles - were uncovered again in 1953.

An organ museum has been set up in the church with the secularized convent building in the cloister courtyard. The museum presents lavishly renovated historical organs, which are also demonstrated.
