The hop tour passes the following towns / cities: Pfaffenhofen - Scheyern - Schweitenkirchen - Nandlstadt - Hörgertshausen - Pfeffenhausen - Rottenburg a.d. Laaber - Rohr - Abensberg - Neustadt a.d. Donau - Geisenfeld - Wolnzach - Rohrbach. The Hopfentour can be varied or shortened via six connecting routes (Hopfentour-Spangen). In the southern district of Kelheim, it connects the Great Laaber Cycle Route with the Abens Cycle Route and leads through the huge Dürnbuch Forest into the Ilm Valley.
The circular tour is around 170 kilometers long and leads along designated regional and national cycle paths. The route sections are very different: quieter, relaxing passages lead along river valleys and alternate with more challenging sections over the typical Hallertau hills. The routes along the river valleys are therefore recommended for inexperienced cyclists.
Discover the Hallertau at every stage. Picturesque countryside, traditional villages with typical Hallertau farmhouses, vantage points from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of the countryside and culinary delights - the Hallertau promises a variety of impressions and views. The Munich-Regensburg-Prague cycle route forms the central axis of the cycle route system.
The composition of the route varies greatly: in addition to excellent cycle paths, there are also sections along country lanes and less busy public roads; busy roads are only sometimes crossed or used briefly. The terrain profile varies from flat stretches along the river valleys of the Ilm and Abens to hilly stretches.
