Felix Krakau tells den German theater classic reimagined: compressed to the essentials, comedic, and fast-paced. The premise: Faust is plagued by a hefty existential crisis. He wants more out of life, more knowledge, more love, more of everything. In search of it, he strikes a fatal pact with Mephisto, the devil. Together, the two plunge out into the world: higher, faster, further!
Regardless of the consequences, Faust drags Gretchen down with him into his disastrous vortex. There is no happy ending, or perhaps there is—but for whom? And how is this story supposed to be continued anyway? At the end, there is another wager—for nothing less than the future.
The play critically examines one of the greatest classics of the theater, while at the same time bursting with humor and wit, and it gains its relevance for our present day precisely through its ironic distancing from the frequently quoted original. With Faust 1 + 2 + 3 The audience is treated to a theatrical experience that is both entertaining and thought-provoking, without requiring any prior knowledge.
